Amphibious exercise ADELFIBEX-02.

Between the 7^th and 11^th of September, the amphibious exercise "ADELFIBEX-02" will take place at the Rota Naval Base and the Bay of Cadiz.

ADELFIBEX is a biannual exercise designed to provide the units of the Amphibious and Projection Group of the Fleet (GRUPFLOT), and the rest of the participating units, the opportunities for elementary amphibious and airborne training, as a starting point to their training phases prior to more complex exercises, or to maintain the amphibious/airborne capabilities corresponding to the scheduled period of high availability.

During the execution of this amphibious exercise, most activities will be aimed at instructing and certifying new personnel of the participating units, with the objective of achieving the necessary training in the handling of the different equipment and systems as well as their familiarization with current working procedures.

Participating units include:

LHD ‘Juan Carlos I’, LPDs ‘Galicia’ and ‘Castilla, teh Beach Naval Group, the Marine Corps Brigade (Amphibious Mobility Group), and different aircraft.
