Opening hours
  • Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 - 7:00 pm

  • August, reduced opening hours, 10:00 - 3:00 pm

  • Visitors will be asked to begin leaving the galleries 15 minutes before closing time.

  • The entire Museum or any of its galleries may exceptionally close outside the scheduled opening hours, with due notice to the public.

Museum closing dates
  • Every Monday. 1 and 6 January. 1 May. 24, 25 and 31 December.

The Museum is free of charge. A donation of 3 € is requested for its upkee.

Accesibility:

Most of the Museum spaces are adapted for people with reduced mobility. A lift connects the entrance to the Museum galleries. The lift has push buttons with braille marking.

There are adapted toilet facilities in the reception area, and a wheelchair is available for loan at the ticket office. Sorry, there is no staff assistance available around the Museum for wheelchair users.

The closest public parking spaces reserved for adapted vehicles are on Calle Montalbán 9, and Calle Alfonso XI 8 and 10.

Visually impaired people are allowed in accompanied by guide dogs.

The Naval Museum establishes a series of basic visit guidelines.

GENERAL GUIDELINES:
  • Access to the galleries is not allowed with backpacks or bulky bags or objects.The museum does not have a left-luggage office.
  • Access to the galleries with scooters is not allowed.The museum does not have a left-luggage office.
  • No food or drink is allowed in the Museum.
  • Smoking is prohibited inside the building.
  • The exhibits are fragile, please do not touch them or lean on the showcases.
  • Photographs can be taken inside the Museum without flash, tripod, or selfie stick.
  • Please set your mobile phones on silent mode and talk in a low tone of voice.
  • The Naval Museum is located in the Spanish Navy Headquarters. Please note that like in any military building, there are security protocols in place that must be followed at all times.
