The Minister of Defense, Pedro Morenés, has paid a visit to the Navy Headquarters on the occasion of a working session on the current development of the new F-110 frigates. The Minister was welcomed by the Chief of Naval Staff (AJEMA), Jaime Muñoz-Delgado.
The Minister attended the meeting accompanied by AJEMA, the Logistic Support Admiral, Estanislao Pery, the Naval Shipbuilding Director, Vice-admiral Antonio Sánchez and the Chief of the Plans Division, Vice-admiral Luis Urcelay.
In the Staff Boardroom the Minister was briefed on the current developments of the new F-110 frigates program which will replace the ‘Santa María’-class frigates (FFG). The project envisages the construction of five units and is currently in the design stage.
