Temporary transfers of cultural assets assigned to public Museums in order to participate in exhibitions must be previously authorised by Ministerial Order, as provided for in the Regulations of State-owned Museums and the Spanish Museum System (Royal Decree 620/1987, of 10th April), and Order DEF/2532/2015, of 18th November, which establishes the Network of Defence Museums and defines the procedures for managing movable assets of the Spanish Historical Heritage assigned to the Ministry of Defence.

Requests for items can be made in writing submitted to the Museum's Directorate, either by letter or by email to museonavalmadrid@fn.mde.es
