The bulk of the archaeological collection is made up of pieces that came from prospecting and excavation campaigns of underwater sites. The pieces from the wreck of the ship "San Diego", sunk in 1600 off the island of Fortuna, Philippines, stand out for their volume and exceptional interest. This collection, part of which is a loan made by the Community of Madrid, is made up of numerous pieces, including a set of Chinese jars, Siamese jars, Philippine earthenware and porcelain from the kilns of Jingdezhen (China). The Naval Museum also has pieces from other periods, such as an admiralty anchor and Roman amphorae.
